Land Pollution

“Because normal human activity is worse for nature than the greatest nuclear accident in history.” Martin Cruz Smith. Pollution has been found to be present generally in the environment. The most common form of pollution is land pollution basically produces by the trash, which shows the quantities of chemicals and bad stuff thrown on land. People across the globe have been facing a number of health problems caused due to the pollution of land, water and air. Talking about land pollution, it has some of the most devastating effects on both nature and living beings. Land pollution is described by the impurity of Earth's surface, where humans and other creatures live. One of the major causes of land pollution is human activities.

Anything humans do that result in the weakening or damage of a piece of land, in terms of its nutrients, landscape, and uses in general its ability to support life forms is land pollution. Land pollution is typically caused by the disposal of solid and liquid waste. Land pollution can come from the solid waste, pesticides and fertilizers, chemicals deforestation, agricultural sources i.e. ashes, mining sources, treatment of sewage, garbage or waste, construction sources, oil refineries etc. This has consequences to human health, plant and soil health as well as indirect effects on the water table and environment.

On individual level we can do certain things for the cleanliness of our earth. What we can do is to dispose the wastage properly, don’t ever try to throw any wrappers and garbage on land try to throw it in dustbins, there should be a proper recycling system in every country and its cities either developed or under developed country the recycling system should be proper, in underdeveloped countries like Pakistan the infrastructure/ roads are not constructed with proper methodology and there is not a good sewage system like developing countries where the infrastructure and the sewage system is designed in a proper way which helps to control the land pollution.

In this scenario it is very important to control this issue of land pollution to secure our environment, the most effective way of preventing land pollution is to educate people and give them awareness regarding land pollution, reuse any item that you can, personal litter should be disposed properly, look out for the pesticide free products as much as you can, and last but not the least government can take a step regarding the land pollution which comes in any of the further types; it can make a proper method of recycling especially in Pakistan ( because in so many countries this method of recycling is already applicable and people are almost aware from this) and can aware people how to dispose the garbage and other products.

Pollution Problems in Pakistan

"Destruction is a man's will, Nevertheless Prevention is also a man's will, It’s a man's choice to choose between Destruction and Prevention" Babu Rajan. Likewise pollution is becoming a serious problem of the current scenario. With rapidly increasing industries especially in developing countries, the problem is of great extent. After the technical and industrial revolution, there has been a huge impact of man on environment. However in Pakistan the pollution problems have been rising since it got its independence. Very few people have concern about the negative effects of pollution on themselves as well as their environment. The major types of pollution in this country are noise, land or solid waste, water and air pollution; it doesn't mean that other kinds of pollution do not exist in Pakistan. All of these types are very dangerous and cause many diseases like cholera, increasing hearing problem, vomiting, hepatitis, kidney problems and lung cancer etc.
Noise pollution in Pakistan is increasing day by day especially in urban areas. As we all know the population of Pakistan is increasing day by day which leads to increasing of the transportation. Transportation is not only a cause of air pollution but also the major cause of noise pollution because there is not a proper system to control the transport and their unconditional noise.

If we talk about the land pollution we can say that the very first reason for land pollution can be our own mismanagement. We have no system to dispose wastes, be it the waste of our homes, parks, offices, street, town or city. We pay no heed to make a proper system to decompose the waste in Pakistan. With the growth of population the amount of solid waste generated is also escalating. There is no proper system and policies for recycle the waste in Pakistan. Without proper waste recycling system most of the waste contributes to landfills and dump-sites where it is often burned to reduce the volume which contributes to further pollution and greenhouse effect.
Water pollution in Pakistan is potent cause to many environmental and health issues. The main pollutants for the ground level waters are the industrial discharges and sewage waters which contaminate directly into water. Unfortunately, neither our government nor our citizens are vigilant enough to get all of us filtered water. Pipeline leakages and slum area populations are two more sources of water pollution in Pakistan.

Many people will never be bothered by air pollution because they don’t stop talking long enough to take a deep breath. Traffic congestion is one of the main causes of air pollution in Pakistan. The usage of old transports is ruining the situation. No prevailing laws are strictly implemented, as a result, factories exude their smoke into the air. In some predominant areas, main roads are widened but the status is worst inside the streets where with all the air pollution, people throw the garbage on the streets.
Pollution in Pakistan is insistently increasing and on the other hand, healthy environmental policies are not on the priority list, resulting the spread of so many diseases, for instance, asthma and lungs cancer etc. Government should make substantial environmental policies and should implement them rigorously. Awareness campaigns among people should be executed to educate them about their health and environment. So that in future, we may able to see our country with hygienic environment.

Living Organisms On Deadly Ground

There is a deadly effect of pollution on the climate and the living organisms. Each and every type of pollution is very harming for the environment. This is very important to know for the people that how different types of pollution has a different effects on the living beings. For example if we talk about the noise pollution it will become a very serious issue for most of the countries like Pakistan. The reason can be the traffic and the silencers and no check and balance on the laws and policies regarding traffic and one more reason can be that the communities of people are living on the main roads which are facing the direct noise which may leads to hearing problem and bad mood of people.
Even the land pollution in every form can be harming in different ways for humans, animals, water and soils. The effects are even worse if the garbage is not separated into organic, re-usable and recyclable waste, but the separation of  recyclable waste is not practiced in underdeveloped countries in a very effective way that’s why they are suffering more from land pollution problems and we can say that they are living on the deadly ground. This is very common that wastes of industries are thrown in the rivers and lakes which then leave that water into the seas, this waste of industries are very harmful for the marine life.
One of the major causes of the devastating effects on living beings and environment is air pollution which is heavily laden with dust, smoke poisonous gases and offensive odors. It affects both plants and human life directly and indirectly. It is the basic reason of acid rain which when falls over an area, it can kill tree, leaves of plants and harm animals, fish, and other wildlife.
It is very important for us to take a serious initiative for the betterment of our environment and the living beings and make our ground lively for the living organisms. So for this we need to take serious initiatives to solve these issues and work separately for each and every type of pollution and make strong policies and their implementation for the betterment of our environment to secure the earth.
